Bike routing for the Stuttgart region

The VVS Cycle Planner is the bike app of the Stuttgart transport association. It is a multimodal journey planner: you can combine public transport and cycling, and set how you want to ride each leg, on your own bike, RegioRad, or mixed with bus and rail. Curated tours, sharing and GPX export are part of the product.

Built with MENTZ

The customer is VVS. The partner is MENTZ. We built the Cycle Planner together with MENTZ, as we later did with VVS Mobil .

The previous clients were native iOS and Android. Two apps, every change twice. Together with MENTZ we moved to Flutter, and we took on almost all of the development. One client for the App Store and Google Play.

Outcome

Commuters and leisure riders get the same product on both phones. VVS maintains one cycle planner codebase instead of two native apps.
